I wish to be recognized as a bridge that passes on trends to construct, deconstruct, transmit, challenge and share the reign of Culture and Art. It is a tangible thing in our lives, a real thing that takes shape in the little things surrounded us, and that sometimes just makes our lives less miserable.
Because the Ginkgo Project does not compete with the past but just trying to complete it, the circle of my friends shows the importance attached to a creative passion.
Founder of the Ginkgo Project
“I find it very strange that me too, when i was born, I was welcomed like a real godsend […] The pictures brought together here are a chronicle of an ordinary family’s life, like thousands […] Over the years, these facts from the past seem sparkly to me, in fact they truly are […] I cannot go back to these days when we were eight in the family […] and this memory will not fade. I believe it will keep carrying me as long as I live, until my last day.” – R. Kawauchi
Ritz is a would-be arts critic/curator, Russian literature connoisseur, and purveyor of fine wines and cheese from California and Taiwan, currently living and studying at the Royal College of Art in London. She bikes by night and sleeps by day, and translates articles for the Ginkgo Project.
“Simplify, Simplify to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life.”
“The detail is as important as the essential is. When it is inadequate, it destroys the whole outfit.” – Monsieur Dior
As Senior Writer, I boast a decade of writing, editing and publishing experience across multiple media platforms.
A self-proclaimed English gentleman and genuine culture vulture, I graduated as a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Media, Culture & Society from The University of Birmingham and have since forged a successful writing career in the media industry.
With my professional focus primarily based on fashion, lifestyle and leisure, my guilty pleasures involve acting as Chief Writer for my personal sports blog, slurping fine wines and studying literature on Sir Winston Churchill.
“…History will be kind to me for I intend to write it…”
